Often we spend our time looking, yearning, pondering...filled with anticipation and expectation of things to come.
Time passes, reality resumes, and you realize that your searching was in vain.
What you were looking for was not found in a magical moment;
"the moment" was right in front of you the entire time.
On this December 26 (when quite possibly there has been a count down to a let down),
may you have time to reflect that it truly is the little things that are the big things...
in Life, Love, and our relationship with our Lord.

We are leaving today to head over to Arizona - spending a few days with some of our favorite relatives, so the uniqueness of the holiday continues -- with Jesus swirling in the midst of its FULLNESS ... in fact, MAKING it FULL!!

This is SO true. Thanks for this. Last night as we felt the inevitable sadness that "it" was over, we realized that the gift is that we have HIM everyday.... and a New Year just brings more opportunities to know Him better!
Well said, Jen! So often we set ourselves up for disappointment, whether it's in our expectations of gifts we want, or the way our family (immidiate or extended) will act around us. I have trouble finding contentment when I really should just focus on the Lord and allow Him to give me what I truly need!
